A Message from HWPL on Recent Misinformation
HWPL is a registered, non-governmental organisation working in Australia and around the world to promote peace, understanding, and human rights. We are a non-religious organisation with no ties to any religious group. HWPL is honoured to hold special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and is associated with the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC).
We are aware that some recent reports and online commentary have shared inaccurate or misleading information about HWPL. While we understand that misunderstandings can occur, we feel it’s important to clarify that these claims do not reflect the reality of our work or values.
For over a decade, HWPL has worked alongside communities from diverse backgrounds to create spaces for dialogue, education, and peacebuilding. We remain committed to transparency, mutual respect, and the principles of international cooperation.
We deeply appreciate the trust and support of those who know our work firsthand, and we will continue doing our part to build a more peaceful and inclusive world — guided always by integrity, openness, and a shared vision for a better future.
